Let’s start at the top, why is teeth cleaning necessary?
When we partake of food, the particles mix with saliva, and a sticky film of bacteria called plaque forms on your teeth. Our Daily brushing habits removes most of the plaque, but some food particles get stuck between your teeth.
Over a period of time, the leftover plaque hardens to form tartar, and generally a toothbrush cannot easily remove it. Tartar appears as yellow or brown buildup at or underneath the gum line, and your gums may bleed and appear swollen, thus signalling the onset of gingivitis that progresses to gum disease if left unchecked (When we talk about Gingivitis, the symptoms include receding gums, bad breath, and tender gums).
Each patient’s particular oral needs as every patient are different. Some are more prone to having dental issues, making it necessary for them to visit a dentist more often. Some patients will experience hardly any dental issues at all, which means it is likely that they will need to have their teeth cleaned on a less frequent basis.
If you do suffer from recurring gum disease, excessive tooth decay, or other oral health issues, it may be recommended to visit a dental clinic every 3 months. If you usually have healthy teeth and gums, then it is recommended to visit a dental clinic every 6 months to help them stay that way.
Don’t wait until it is too late, take care of your dental health – for #healthylifetimesmiles
We believe that having a healthy smile makes life better. We also witness many people living lives that aren’t their greatest because of suffering or because they’ve been terrified to smile for so long. In our office, we encounter patients who are reluctant or ashamed to smile frequently. We frequently see patients who have never felt confident in their smiles or loved how their teeth looked. We want you to understand that life is better when you can smile with assurance, eat without discomfort, and have a healthy mouth. If your smile is preventing you from living the life you desire, if you’ve avoided going to the dentist due to worry, or if you’re simply seeking for the ideal dental home for yourself and your family, you’ve come to the right spot
