Tooth replacement (dentures and bridges)
A dental bridge is a set of porcelain teeth attached to the crowns adhered to the abutment teeth,
A bridge has crowns on either side of the missing tooth, which supports the artificial teeth and is cemented in place.
Dentures are removable prosthetic teeth that can be attached to the gums and removed when required.
They can be removed and cleaned easily, which will avoid building up plaque, and your dentures will last for a long time.
The main difference between dentures and bridges is that dentures are removable. Whereas, bridges are permanently fixed in your mouth. A dental bridge may require tooth extraction to prepare your mouth before the bridge is fitted. With dentures, you do not have to worry about changing anything. Dental bridges may not be a suitable option for everyone. It is only an option for those who have strong existing teeth or good jawbone support so the bridges can be attached properly.
